Privacy Policy

Beta version. In effect from 1 October 2026. We will email parents before we make any material change to it.

Company: Radlor Inc., a Delaware corporation

Product: Radlic

Effective date: 25 September 2026

Last updated: 14 October 2026

In short

  • A parent or guardian holds the account. A child uses a profile inside it.
  • We collect a small amount of information about each child: a first name or nickname, the lessons you choose and a grade band worked out from them, and their work in the app.
  • We use it to teach the child and to show the parent progress. Nothing else.
  • We never sell it, never share it for advertising, and never let anyone track a child across other websites or apps.
  • A parent can see everything we hold, delete it, or withdraw permission, at any time, for free.

This summary is here to be useful, not to replace what follows.

1. Who we are

Radlor Inc. 254 Chapman Rd, Ste 208 #28608, Newark, DE 19702 support@radlor.com 1-888-812-9373

We are the operator of Radlic, and the only one. No other company operates any part of the service in a way that collects information through it.

2. Who this policy is for

This policy covers two groups of people:

  • Parents and guardians, who create and hold the account; and
  • Children under 13, who use a profile inside a parent's account.

The service is directed to children, so the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA") applies to it. Section 5 sets out the additional protections that gives you.

3. Information we collect about a child

WhatWhyRequired?
First name or a nickname you chooseSo the app can address your child, and so you can tell profiles apartRequired — a nickname is fine
The lessons you choose, and a grade band worked out from them — Kindergarten, Grades 1–2, 3–5 or 6–8 — stored as the age range 3–5, 6–8, 9–11 or 12–14. Not the child's exact grade or ageTo give work at the right levelRequired
The child's work: answers, scores, progress, and the topics you have chosen for themThis is the service. It is how the app decides what to teach next and how it shows you progressRequired
Technical information from the device — a sign-in token kept on the device; a per-tab marker of which child's profile is in use; an internal identifier for the child, which appears on every progress and event record; a random identifier per event, used to avoid duplicates; the device's IP address and browser type, and an approximate location — city, region and country — derived from the IP address by our hosting and database providers, who record it for every request; and, if the app crashes, the page being viewed and the browser type. We set no cookiesTo keep the app working, keep the account secure, and keep your child signed inRequired for the app to function
A small number of product events, such as a lesson session startingTo see which parts of the app are used, so we can improve them. Stored on our own systems, tied to your child's internal identifier rather than their name, deleted automatically after 90 days, never shared, never used for advertisingRequired

We do not ask a child for: a last name, an email address, a phone number, a home address, a photograph, a voice recording, or their location. We do not permit a child to make their information public anywhere in the service, and there is no way for a child to message another user.

We ask a child for no more information than is reasonably necessary to take part.

4. Information we collect about a parent

WhatWhy
Name and email addressTo create the account, to contact you about it, and to verify your identity when you make a request about your child's data
Subscription and billing detailsTo take payment and manage the subscription. Payments are processed by Stripe, our payment provider. We never receive or store your full card number or security code — we keep Stripe's references for your customer record and subscription, its status, the number of seats and the billing period dates, and a log of Stripe's billing events (their type, references and amounts). Stripe holds your email address and the billing details you enter on its pages. Nothing about a child is sent to Stripe.
Your record of consent — the method, the date, your email address, and the version of each document you were shown — and, for each child you add, when you confirmed that you are that child's parent or legal guardian and which version of the notice that confirmation referred toBecause the law requires us to be able to show that consent was given, and to show exactly what was agreed to. If you close your account this record is kept, marked as withdrawn and no longer linked to your account; everything else is deleted
Messages you send usTo answer you

5. Your rights as a parent

At any time, you can:

  • See everything we hold about your child;
  • Correct it;
  • Delete it;
  • Withdraw your consent — for one child or for every child on the account; we then stop collecting, delete what we hold about each child it covers, and close their profiles. Your account stays open.

Using any of these is free. We will confirm that the request comes from you before we act on it — usually by sending a link to the email address on the account — and we will not demand a government ID or any sensitive document for a routine request.

How to ask: in the app — your parent dashboard → your child's card → Login & data, where you can correct your child's name or nickname, avatar and grade band, download a copy of everything we hold, and delete the profile; and Account → Close your account to delete everything. Or write to support@radlor.com, call 1-888-812-9373, or write to 254 Chapman Rd, Ste 208 #28608, Newark, DE 19702.

How long we take: 10 days.

Full details are on our Parent Rights page at https://radlic.com/legal/parent-rights.

6. How we use information

We use what we collect only to:

  • run the service for your child — teach, adapt, track progress;
  • show you your child's progress;
  • keep the service secure, detect abuse, and fix faults;
  • take payment and manage your subscription;
  • contact you about your account;
  • meet our legal obligations.

We do not:

  • sell or rent anyone's information;
  • share a child's information for anyone else's purposes;
  • use a child's information for advertising, or allow anyone else to;
  • build an advertising profile of a child;
  • allow third-party tracking inside a child's session;
  • use your child's work to train or develop artificial-intelligence models. Your child's answers are used to teach your child — to decide what the app shows them next and to report their progress to you. They are not used to build or improve our models, and we do not give them to anyone else to train theirs.

7. Who we share information with

We do not sell information and we do not disclose a child's information to anyone for their own purposes.

We do use service providers who process information on our instructions and for no purpose of their own — hosting, database, email delivery and payment processing. The current list, and exactly what each one receives, is published at https://radlic.com/legal/subprocessors.

We may also disclose information where we are legally required to — for example, in response to a valid legal process — or to protect the safety of a person. If we are ever required to do so in relation to a child, we will tell the parent unless the law forbids it.

If the company is ever sold or merged, information may transfer as part of that transaction. If that happens, the information stays subject to this policy, or the parent is given notice and a choice before anything changes.

8. Cookies and similar storage

We use only what the app needs to work: to keep you signed in, to remember settings, and to keep the service secure. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not allow cross-site tracking. The detailed list is in our Cookie and Tracking Notice at https://radlic.com/legal/cookies.

9. How long we keep information

We keep a child's information only as long as we need it to provide the service, and then we delete it.

InformationKept for
A child's profile and their workUntil you delete the profile or close the account. We do not delete it on a timer, because it is what lets your child pick up where they left off
Product events90 days, then deleted automatically every night
Crash records90 days, then deleted automatically
Parent accountUntil you close it
Consent recordsKept after you withdraw consent or close your account, marked as withdrawn, so we can show when and how it ended. After you close your account it is no longer linked to it. We do not delete it automatically. A request you never answered is deleted with the account
Our providers' request logs, which include IP address and browser typeAvailable to us for up to 7 days (database provider) and 1 hour (hosting provider) on our current plans, from their dashboards on 24 September 2026
BackupsDesigned to expire after 30 days

If you ask us to delete your child's information, we delete it from our live systems straight away; copies in backups disappear when those backups expire, and we never restore a deleted child's record from a backup. Our full retention schedule is at https://radlic.com/legal/retention.

10. How we protect information

We maintain a written security programme covering children's information, reviewed at least annually.

In practice: every connection to Radlic is encrypted; the database enforces rules so that one family's records cannot be read by another; the keys that would allow broad access are never sent to your browser; and our internal records are kept in a separate system that holds no children's data; the admin view inside the product shows only totals, never an individual child.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your child's information, we will tell you as required by law, and we will tell you plainly what happened.

11. Where information is held

We store information in the United States. Our database is hosted in the US East region, and the application runs in the United States, in Washington, D.C. (region iad1, confirmed from the hosting provider's dashboard on 24 September 2026). The service is intended for use in the United States only.

12. Children aged 13 to 17

We treat every child on the service the same way, whatever their age. A parent holds the account, a parent gives permission before we collect anything, and every protection described in this policy applies to a 15-year-old exactly as it does to a 9-year-old. COPPA itself covers only children under 13; we apply the same standard above that age because it is simpler and because it is the standard we would want applied to our own children.

13. Changes to this policy

If we make a material change to how we handle a child's information, we will not apply it to information already collected without first telling parents and, where the law requires it, obtaining consent again. We will post changes here with a new date, and we will email account holders about material changes.
